In the last steps, you started to set up your Substack, creating an account, creating a domain name, and filling out some basic information. Now, we’ll use Substack’s free tools to make your newsletter a more personalized, pleasant, and memorable experience for your readers.
The one downside of Substack’s newsletter platform is it tends to make all newsletters look the same. You can customize your Substack by selecting different colors for your publication background, selecting from a variety of fonts, and also changing the publication layout. You can customize your publication’s theme from your Settings page. Scroll down to the “Style” section. Choose a background color and cover photo for your welcome page, and pick colors for your homepage and post page. You can also select from a few different font styles and layouts. Make sure when you’re choosing from Substack’s options that you select colors and aesthetics that align with your brand, and that the font that you select is easily readable.
